Start your review of Gennaro: Slow Cook Italian

So apparently I received an "extract of selected pages from Gennaro: Slow Cook Italian and not the complete book" from the publisher on Netgalley. I do not recall it saying this on the header or description or I wouldn't have requested it as you can never get anything adequate out of an except, in my opinion. Now that I can provide feedback though, this little quote is listed in fine print at the bottom.

So why the low rating? Well, the first 20% of this "extract" is commentary, the next 35% are

So why the low rating? Well, the first 20% of this "extract" is commentary, the next 35% are recipes, none of which sound the list bit appetizing, and then the remaining 43% (yes, you read that right, 43%!!), is the Index of the actual book! I mean really?! What is one to do with this?!

I was really excited about this one as I love Italian food and I am sure that there are lots of great recipes in here, but when all I see are recipes for Veal and Lamb, neither of which I eat, i can't get very excited about it.

This is a beautiful book that is full of fantastic recipes that I've not seen in other books. I'm inspired to begin cooking immediately. There are photos for about two thirds of the recipes.
