How To Clean Xerox 6027 Workcenter Printer
The Color Toner Density (CTD) Sensors measure the optical density of Toner deposited on the Marker Unit during the calibration cycles of the printing process. I sensor is located at each side of the Mark Unit to insure that the density of the Toner is consequent beyond the chugalug.
To insure optimum print quality, the printer checks the operation of the CTD Sensors at the offset of each calibration cycle. When the printer indicates a CTD Sensor fault or fault message on the Command Panel or in the Printer Setting Utility, clean the CTD Sensors.
Circumspection: Practice not use warm water or cleaning solvents to remove Toner (Dry Ink) from your pare or clothing. This will set the Toner and brand information technology difficult to remove. If whatsoever Toner gets on your skin or habiliment, use a castor to remove the Toner, or wash information technology off with cold water and mild lather.
To clean the CTD Sensors:
NOTE: The images in this procedure are for demonstration purposes only and may not specifically friction match your printer model; colors, icons, and other small-scale differences may be.
- Power off the printer past pressing the power switch to the off (O) position.
NOTE: The power switch is located on the right side of the printer.
- Unplug the power cord.
- Button the Rear Cover release handle and open the Rear Cover.
WARNING: Internal parts of the printer can be hot. Utilize caution when doors and covers are open.
- Make clean the CTD Sensors by wiping inside the admission holes with a clean, dry out cotton wool swab.
- Shut the Rear Encompass.
- Plug in the power cord.
- Power on the printer by pressing the power switch to the on (|) position.
